Do you want to know All You Need To Know About SEO. SEO is the process of improving a website or web page’s visitor traffic through the manipulation of rankings on search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. This includes improving the rank of site’s URL, landing page and other specific pages. Through keyword optimization and good content creation, the spiders or robots of search engines see which sites and pages are more relevant to Internet users who are looking for specific information about their needs, be it a product, service or news byte.

The earliest methods of search engine optimization were first used sometime around 1995 and 1996. Back than, programmers and webmasters would manipulate the keywords in their programming code to manipulate their website rankings. This eventually paved the way for programmers to decode the algorithms of search engines at will, allowing them to produce exceptional work for clients looking to increase their web exposure.

Cracking search engine algorithms soon grew out of style in the late 90s, as search engines began to use more complicated code-which also doubled as a way of killing spam and irrelevant content. The rise of Google eventually encouraged programmers and developers to use organic SEO techniques to increase their rankings.

Changes made in Search engine optimization

With the recent updates to Google’s ranking algorithm, the SEO game has changed. Once upon a time, a simpler time, a website could just focus on their titles, title tags, finding some random backlinks, and pumping out spun articles to increase their ranking on Google. No more.

Now Google has changed the game and the websites not used to playing by the ‘rules’ are going to fall by the wayside while the bigger, more trusted websites and pages dominate the web.

So how do you do SEO now?

In short, you don’t. You see all the little tricks that used to work are not relevant anymore. For a website to stand out it has to do everything right and by that I mean it must stop focusing so much on gaming the system and doing tradition SEO and, instead, worry about its self, so to speak.

How’s that done exactly?

Social Networking

To adapt and survive, websites MUST embrace the social networking reality. Notice I didn’t say ‘fad’ or ‘trend’ there? That’s because everyday it is looking more and more like social networking is beloved to the general population and here to stay. To embrace it, allow people to connect to your website or brand on Facebook and Google Plus, make it easy for them to “like” and share your content, and make sure you stay active on your website or brand’s Facebook page. Address complaints and praise on there to give readers direct access to you. The days of content creators hiding behind a veil of anonymity are over!

Content

Content, content, content! Your content must be good, it must be original, it must be sought after and intelligent or you will surely sink. Google, more than ever has put an emphasis on quality content and you have to comply to make it.

Write good, original content that matters to readers and makes sure spelling and grammar are in check too. Believe it or not, Google looks at those things now too!

Links

You got good content; you are active on social networks, now what?

Go and get some links! Visit websites like yours and see if they have blog rolls where you can exchange links, ask to do guest posts on blogs or have bloggers guest post on your site. Make sure the links you are getting are from quality websites. No adult content or casino type websites. Make sure they are relevant to your blog’s audience, and make sure you are linking back to people.

Algorithm in SEO

An algorithm is a mathematical formula that executes some functions. It helps the search engine to determine which page in the index of the search engine is the perfect match for a set of searched keywords.

Google has once again updated their search engine algorithm and Page Rank.

This just proves that Google loves to see fresh, new, original, updated content on web pages. Stale, old recycled information should be changed frequently on your website. Not doing so means that your pages will suffer from lower search engine rankings than desired. Even if the URL has been changed, but the content has not been changed there will be no PR for the page. This is just an observation upon many of new, recently modified or updated websites.

Simply changing the layout, template, images, etc. will not cut it. This is because the search engine spiders cannot read or comprehend these. The search engines can easily read the text, but images and website layouts are more challenging.

Alt tags, alternative text, allows for the search engines to get a few word sample of what the image is. This can drastically improve a website’s search engine optimization. Therefore, changing your template will not suddenly push your page rank through the roof. The textual content is the key factor in increasing website page rank in Goggles eyes.

Keywords in SEO

The art of using keywords in any SEO campaign has evolved hundred-folds. One cannot expect to achieve better rankings by simply repeating target keywords as many times as possible in a page. You need to be smart about it. You need to keep things natural – ensuring that the presence of the keyword in a page is actually relevant, called for and in consonance with the flow of the content.

Modern SEO incorporates certain smart tricks such as content, page title and image tags to get the most out of your campaign through keyword targeting. Here is how you can still incorporate keywords into your strategy and enjoy the trust of Google at the same time.

The future of SEO

The future of SEO lies in the future of the search. Will search results be based on the drive of artificial intelligence, semantics and social media? Most commentators believe that searches will be universal searches: with video, images, tweets and a whole host of other results layers together richly.

The personalized search will also come into play more and more. When one of us searches apple we may mean a fruit or consumer electronics or a record company founded by The Beatles.

In many respects, it’s a cat-and-mouse game, and it always will be. The search engines fine-tune their algorithms and Webmasters jump to keep up. Just six months ago, what was current in SEO is less relevant today and the pace of change will only increase from here.
